Stunning pink transfer-ware oval Meat Platter in the beautiful pattern called Jenny Lind by Charles Meigh & Son.
The Platter is in excellent condition, LOOKS NEW, with no chips, cracks, crazing or discoloration.
The Platter is 11.625 inches long, 9.5 inches wide and 0.5 inches deep.
Beautiful pink transfer-ware pattern, 2 men and 3 women looking at a castle off in the distance, with an off-white background. It is a nice full pattern which covers most of the piece.
Manufactured by Charles Meigh & Son as a reproduction of the original 1795 Royal Staffordshire Pottery England Jenny Lind Platter.
Marked on the reverse with an ivy wreath Jenny Lind "CM&S" mark. This lettering was used by CM&S from 1851 to 1861.
A reproduction of the ?CM&S? platter was manufactured in the 1940s.
This platter may be the 1940s reproduction or may be the actual 1851-1861 CM&S reproduction.
